Staff members of Barker Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors.
Steven C. Barker was raised in Salem, Arkansas, and graduated from Salem High School. He went on to attend Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and later Arkansas State University where he graduated with an AAD in Funeral Science. Steve and his wife Kim are the owners of Barker Funeral Home. They live in Salem, Arkansas, as do their five children; Luke Barker and his wife Samantha and their five children, Tyde, Bristol, Noah, Connor, and Elsie; Stephanie Cox and her husband Matt Cox and their six children, Alli, Addi, Hoyt, Cooper, Brady, and Caydee; Trenton Barker, Peyton Barker, and Carson Barker. Steve has served Fulton County as the coroner since January 1, 1999.
Kimberly Barker is the office manager and has been working at Barker Funeral Home since 2013.
Michael Rimbey is an apprentice funeral director/ apprentice embalmer. Michael graduated from Salem High School and currently attends Arkansas State University of Mountain Home. Michael has been employed at Barker Funeral Home since 2021. He also serves as a deputy coroner for Fulton County.
