Janice Ruth Cantrell

Janice Ruth Cantrell was born in Glencoe, Arkansas on March 8, 1926, the daughter of George Samuel and Bertha Belle (Wells) Coggin. She departed this life on March 3, 2013, at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in LaFontaine, Indiana at the age of 86 years, 11 months, and 23 days. She was united in marriage to Gene Nineveh Cantrell on November 21, 1945, at Salem, Arkansas. Janice is survived by two daughters, Vonda Gail Jackson of Marion, Indiana and Kathy Jean Housewright of Orem ,Utah; one son Jimmy Dale Cantrell, of Tampa, Florida; eight grandchildren Misti Bratcher, Blain Jackson, Kylie Lee, Lauren Gambino, Katherine Monje, Semisi Katoa, Jordan Housewright and Mackenzie Miles; one brother Truman R. Coggin of Granite City, Illinois; fourteen great grandchildren; twenty one nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded by her husband; parents; two brothers Sanford and Winford Coggin; and four sisters Erma Lynch, Lucille Bell, Venetta Humphrey and Barbara Jean Ninemire. Funeral service will be held at Barker Funeral Home Chapel, 10:00 AM Friday, March 8, 2013, with Bro. Mike Yates and Vonda Gail Jackson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 7, 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Salem, Arkansas with Barker Funeral Home of Salem in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Blain Jackson, Scott Bratcher, Scott Lee, Bruce Humphrey, Semisi Katoa and Jordan Housewright. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Montgomery and Marty Ninemire.
