Ronald Junior Blanton

Ronald Junior Blanton of Glencoe, Arkansas, was born on February 16, 1940, in Kingston, Illinois, the son of James William and Dollie Evangeline (Lee) Blanton. He depared this life on April 1, 2013, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 73 years, 1 month, and 16 days. Ronald was united in mariage to Rita Rae Oldfield on May 8, 1965, at Kingston, Illinois. He was employed as a Price Coordinator at Town & Country for thirty three years and had been employed with First National Builders for twenty years. He was of the Baptist faith and had served his Country with the United States Army. Ronald is survived by one son, Nick Blanton (Carla) of Salem, Arkansas; two sisters, Loretta Egerstaffer (Delbert) of Edgerton, Wisconsin, and Pamela Olson (Andy) of Rockford, Illinois, and one brother, Jerry Helmer (Julie) of Madison, Wisconsin; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded by his wife; parents; two brothers, Jimmy Duane and Clifford Romane Blanton, and one sister Lela Casey. Funeral services will be held at Barker Funeral Home Chapel, Salem, Arkansas, at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2013, with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment at Wiseman Cemetery Wiseman, Arkansas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 6:00 PM -8:00 PM at Barker Funeral Home Chapel.
