Michael Gail Martin

Michael Gail Martin, 62, of Glencoe, Arkansas, was born on June 26, 1951, in Glencoe, Arkansas, son of Carl H. and Elva (Jackson) Martin. He departed this life on July 19, 2013, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Michael was united in marriage to Debbie Sue Gault on April 30, 1976, in Highland, Arkansas. He was a farmer and worked several other jobs during his lifetime. Michael was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a member of the Agnos Church of Christ. Michael is survived by his wife, Debbie Sue Martin of Glencoe, Arkansas: son, Michael Seth Martin and wife Jamie of Salem, Arkansas; two daughters, Jodie Amber Hoover and husband Brian of West Plains, Missouri, and Lori Gail Guffey and husband Heath of Springdale, Arkansas; three brothers, Keith Martin and wife Fern of Johnston City, Illinois, Paul Gene Martin and wife Helen of Heart, Arkansas, and Rayford Martin and wife Susan of Glencoe, Arkansas; two sisters, Billie Jo Moss of Salesville, Arkansas, and Margie Bridges (Bobby) of West Plains, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Marcus Hoover, Tanner Hoover, Bailey Benedict, Colby Hoover, Gunner Guffey, Michael Tripp Martin, Ella Martin and Gehrig Guffey; his faithful companion, Skeet; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Sue Gault; sister and brothers-in-law, Chuck and Kathy Gault, Larry and Vickie Langston, Bobby Gault and Boyce Drake; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and sister-in-laws, Arnold and Icapheen Martin and Haskel and Maxine Martin and sister Claudine Drake. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2013, 2:00 PM, at the Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment will be in the Humphries Cemetery in Glencoe, Arkansas, under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Josh Nelson, Nick Coleman, Ross Carter, Ted Ray Carter, Evert Ellison and Robert Nelson. Memorials preferred to Humphries Cemetery Association.
