Leona Lucille Klein

Leona Lucille (Knutson) Klein was born in Hixton, Wisconsin, on October 20, 1918, daughter of Alfred and Rose (Letson) Knutson. She departed this life on July 27, 2013, at her home in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, at the age of 94 years, 9 months, and 7 days. Leona was united in marriage to Loran Madison Klein on December 12, 1959, in LaGrange, Illinois. She was a volunteer at Life Care Center and a member of Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Chuch and the Methodist Women. Leona is survived by two daughters, Jane Ferguson of Plainfield, Illinois, and Sue Kastelic of Petersburg, Illinois; one sister, Laurel Mulenbruch and husband, Don of Batavia, Ohio; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one infant brother. Funeral services will be held at Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, with Pastor Ken Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Evening Shadows Memorial Park Cemetery in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. Services under the direction of Barker Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel of Horseshoe Bend. Memorials preferred to the Salvation Army.
