Jack Thomas Ryan was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on April 29, 1928, son of the late John E. and Eleanor M. (Schimpf) Ryan. He departed this life Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at his home in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 28 days. Jack was of the Protestant faith and had served with the US Army. He served on the Horseshoe Bend City Council, as Justice of the Peace in Izard County, member of the Shriners, Horseshoe Bend Eagles and past master of the Good Hope Lodge #218. Jack is survived by one stepdaughter Patricia Casey of Eugene, Oregon, one stepson Richard Buehrig of Waldport, Oregon; four grandchildren; one greatgrandson; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements by Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas. Memorials in his honor preferred to the Shriners.
