Bernard Junior Neal

Bernard Junior Neal was born in Byron, Arkansas, on February 8, 1941, son of Elbert Eugene and Bernice (Shoemate) Neal. He departed this life Thursday, January 9, 2014, at his home in Byron, Arkansas, at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 1 day. Bernard was united in marriage to Betty Lee Vandiver on December 5,1968, at Viola, Arkansas. He was employed at Tri County Shirt Company as a mechanic for many years. Bernard attended a non-denominational community church. He is survived by his wife Betty of the home; one son, Bernard Lee Neal and fiancee` Deann Barnett of Byron, Arkansas; grandson, Brayton Neal of Byron, Arkansas; one sister, Wanda Joyce Yarnell of Byron, Arkansas; three brothers, Lonnie Neal and wife Faye of Byron, Arkansas, Quintin Neal and wife Rena of Byron, Arkansas, and Eugene Neal and wife Liz of Salem, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerry Neal. Graveside service and interment will be held at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Bexar, Arkansas, at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 13, 2014, with Bro. Marty Sanders officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Brayton Neal, Gary Hensley, Michael Howell, Dennis Neal, Wayne Neal, Barry Hutson and Eddie Yarnell.
