Lucille Elizabeth Carter

Lucille Elizabeth Carter was born in Vallejo, California, on October 7, 1920, the daughter of Joseph and Vivian (Swars) Silveria. She departed this life Thursday, January 30, 2014, at her home in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 93 years, 3 months and 23 days. Lucille was united in marriage to Clyde Thomas Carter Jr on November 23, 1959, at Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a homemaker and enjoyed camping and fishing in the lakes, rivers, and ocean with Clyde and her family. Lucille was of the Catholic faith. She is survived by four daughters, Diane M. Carr and husband Jack of Ventura, California, Cathy L. Busby and husband Buzz of Salem, Arkansas, Nancy A. Harlow and husband Jr of Salem, Arkansas, and Dorothy E. Gram and husband Jim of Paso Robles, California; one son, Leslie L. Valine and wife Hannelore of Trier, Germany; thirteen grandchildren, Suzy, Clee, Jackie, John, Jim, Rusty, Jeff, Lori, Jon, Mike, Marilyn, Erik and Sandra; twenty-seven great grandchildren; sixteen great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one granddaughter, Michelle; one brother, Edward and two sisters, Josephine and Della. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 6, 2014, with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment will be in the Camp Cemetery in Camp, Arkansas, with services under direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until service time at the church. Memorials preferred to First Baptist Church of Salem. Pallbearers are Jon Harlow, Jim Busby, Jeff Thompson, Rusty Busby, Erik Valine and Mike Harlow. Honorary pallbearers are Clee Carr and John Carr.
