Margaret Lamae Manes

Margaret Lamae Manes was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on July 4, 1930, daughter of John William and Thelma Mary (Stewart) Porter. She departed this life Monday, February 3, 2014, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 30 days. Margaret was united in marriage to Lehman Bruce Manes Jr on November 7, 1948, at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. She was a department manager and clerk for Wal Mart for many years and a member of Salem First Assembly of God. Margaret is survived by two sons, Stephen Bruce Manes and wife Cathy and Mark William Manes, all of Salem, Arkansas; five grandchildren, George Michael Manes of Lima, Ohio, Rachel Emalee Manes of Little Rock, Arkansas, Mark Evert Manes and wife Lesley and Bryan William Manes and wife Jamie, all of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Maranda Pingel of Salem, Arkansas; eight great grandchildren, Madison Kaye Manes, Brett William Manes, Maggie Elizabeth Manes, Joshua Michael Snow, Ethan Charles Pingel, Emily Rose Pingel, Eli August (Gus) Pingel and Esther Joy Pingel; three sisters, Johna Vick of Ripley, Mississippi, Jane Wyatt of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Norma Herbold of Republic, Missouri; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, Charles, David and Danny and three sisters, Anna, Mary and Ethel. Funeral services will be held at Salem First Assembly of God in Salem, Arkansas, at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 7, 2014, with Rev. Kenn DeShane officiating. Interment will be in the Camp Cemetery at Camp, Arkansas, with services under direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014, from 6 - 8 PM at Salem First Assembly of God. Pallbearers are Kenn DeShane, Lonnie Perry, Darrell Redfearn, Bill Earl, Tony Martin, Fred LeGrand and Cecil Welch. Memorials preferred to Salem First Assembly of God.
