Martha Edith Pappas

Martha Edith Pappas was born September 30, 1936, at Waukegan, Illinois, to Pietro and Beatrice (Sacramento) DePerte. She departed this life April 3, 2014, at her home in Elizabeth, Arkansas, at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 4 days.   Martha was united in marriage to Anthony Andrew Pappas on May 26, 1956, at Waukegan, Illinois. She worked as a clerk/cashier at the A&P for many years. Martha spent most of her life in Waukegan before moving to Elizabeth in the early 1990's. She enjoyed sewing and jigsaw puzzles.   Martha is survived by one sister Angie Lazzaretto and husband John of Rockford, Illinois; two sisters-in-law, Sylvia DePerte of Surprise, Arizona, and Rose DePerte of Norway, Maine; one brother-in-law Dave Tilley of Norway, Maine; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband; parents; two brothers, Joseph and Anthony DePerte; sister, Elizabeth Tilley; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Jack Kelly.    Arrangements entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
