James "Buck" Ivan Crotts

James "Buck" Ivan Crotts was born in Byron, Arkansas, October 31, 1925, son of Burgan Leon and Chloe Odessa (Taylor) Crotts. He departed this life Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Southfork River Therapy and Living Center in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 10 days. Buck was united in marriage to Winifred Nadean Stephens on August 8, 1948, at Viola, Arkansas. He proudly served his Country with the US Navy during WWII. Buck was a cattle farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.Buck is survived by his wife Winifred Crotts of Viola, Arkansas; two daughters, Linda Hickman and husband Cleo, and Marilyn Sikes and husband James, all of Viola, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Tony Hickman and wife Diana, Michael Hickman, Garrett Sikes and wife Sarah, and Amanda Sanders and husband Greg; eight great grandsons, Lincoln, Rhett, Wyatt, Zane, Zeke, Zack, Jackson and TJ and wife, Stacie; two great grandchildren, Tanner and Audrey; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Bonita Williams, and one nephew Ricky Williams.Graveside services will be held at Byron Cemetery in Byron, Arkansas, at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 12, 2014, with Bro. Roy Moss officiating. Interment will follow at Byron Cemetery in Byron, Arkansas, with services entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Palllbearers are Lincoln, Rhett and Wyatt Hickman, Zane, Zeke and Zack Sanders, Jackson Sikes, TJ and Tanner Hickman and Audrey Comstock. Memorials preferred to Paragould Children's Home.
