Bruce Lane Delargy

Bruce Lane Delargy was born in Pittsfield, Illinois, on September 11, 1951, son of Robert Fredrick and Jennie (Evans) Delargy. He departed this life Saturday, July 12, 2014, at his home in Cherokee Village, Arkansas, at the age of 62 years, 10 months and 1 day. Bruce was united in marriage to Debbie Swindle on July 6, 2002, at Glencoe, Arkansas. He was a truck driver hauling freight and produce for over twenty-four years. Bruce is survived by his wife Debbie of the home; one daughter Lindsey Delargy of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; two sons, Kevin Delargy of Damascus, Arkansas, and Logan Delargy of Ash Flat, Arkansas; stepson Richie Compton of West Plains, Missouri; nine grandchildren, China, Kylee, Tayler and Sawyer Delargy, Trevor and Anthony Compton, Tyrell Marrow, Gabe Boyle and Ivy Beth Gilbreath; his mother, Jennie (Delargy) Wagoner of Glencoe, Arkansas; three sisters, Lela Acord and husband David of Glencoe, Arkansas, Iris Hines of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and Terri Delargy of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; six brothers, Raymond Delargy and wife Shelia of Salem, Arkansas, James Delargy and wife Connie, of Salem, Arkansas, Gary Delargy and wife Candi of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, Bobby Delargy of Bonne Terre, Missouri; Brad Delargy and wife Joyce of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Tommy Delargy of Salem, Arkansas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Delargy and grandmother, Rosa Delargy. Funeral services will be held at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas, at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, with Bro. Winford Franks officiating. Family will receive friends Monday, July 14, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas, with services entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Pallbearers are Jimmy Swindle, Sheldon Howland, Eddie Davidson, Bob Glisson, Ron Duncan and Brian Gaskins. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Mask, Donald Aul, Jerry Swindle, Chris Brooks and Jerry Sanchez. Memorials preferred to the family and may be left at the funeral home.
