Ricky Lynn Stroud

Ricky Lynn Stroud was born May 30, 1957, in Salem, Arkansas, to James Loyd and Martha Jane (Williams) Stroud. He departed this life Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 57 years, 2 months and 27 days. Rick was united in marriage to Rhonda Gayle Baker on April 14, 2006, in Smithville, Arkansas. He enjoyed going to rodeos, loved hunting and being on the water and was a member of Ash Flat Church of Christ. Rick especially enjoyed and loved time spent with his grandkids. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Stroud of Heart, Arkansas; two daughters, Callie Stroud of Heart, Arkansas, and Candy Valadez and husband Joe of Poughkeepsie, Arkansas; one son, Weston Stroud and wife Sammie of Heart, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Myleigh Stroud, Joseph Valadez, Marissa Valadez, Alecia Valadez, and one unborn grandchild, Kenlee Stroud; mother, Martha Stroud Cochran and husband Charles of Heart, Arkansas; one sister, Rhonda Payne of Heart, Arkansas; special nephew, Lincoln Payne and wife Bailey; special niece, Erin Lemon and husband Todd; several other nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Stroud. Funeral services will be held at the Ash Flat Church of Christ in Ash Flat, Arkansas, at 10:00 AM Friday, August 29, 2014, with Bro. Bill Barnett officiating. Interment will be in Burk's Chapel Cemetery in Camp, Arkansas, with services entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Family will receive friends Thursday, August 28, 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials preferred to Arkansas Children's Hospital.
