Billie Pauline Speaker

Billie Pauline Speaker was born in Shamrock, Oklahoma, on January 19, 1917, daughter of William C. and Clara Ethel (Clark) Chandler. She departed this life Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at her home in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 97 years, 8 months and 4 days. Billie was united in marriage to William R. Speaker on August 11, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a commercial artist after graduating from Tulsa Central High School. Billie attended Disciples of Christ Christian Church. She was a member of BES Salem Ladies Club. Billie is survived by one sister, Sue W. Bailey; brother, James M. Chandler; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one brother, Donald Chandler. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014, 1:00 PM at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Memorials preferred to Salem First Baptist Church of Salem, Arkansas.
