Bobby Dean Glisson was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, on August 10, 1944, son of Spencer and Iva Serepta (Pitchford) Glisson. He departed this life Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at his home in Glencoe, Arkansas, at the age of 70 years, 3 months and 9 days. Bob was united in marriage to Mary Evalene "Ebb" Henslee on October 16, 1964, at Salem, Arkansas. He worked in the sanitation industry and was a member of Salem First Baptist Church. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Ebb of Glencoe, Arkansas; two daughters, Tammy Burnett (Darren Smith) and Kay Curtis (Micah) all of Glencoe, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Andrew, Haley and Kayla Ward and Jonathan Burnett; two great grandchildren, Katelyn Olivia Armah and Randi Lynn Burnett; five sisters, Judy Carwile (Dennis) of Abbeville, Mississippi, Sue Davidson (Eddie) of Morriston, Arkansas, Sue Stewart (Ken) of Harrison, Arkansas, Kay Martin (Frank) and Fay Glen, all of West Memphis, Arkansas; four brothers, Spencer Glisson (Marianne) of Dittmer, Missouri, Wendell Collins (Shawne) of Franklin, Arkansas, Larry Collins and Kenny Collins, both of Ravenden Springs, Arkansas; special niece and nephew, Robin and Jesse Davidson; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Amber Honey; his parents; two sisters, Joyce Miller and Lisa Collins, and a brother, Jimmy Collins. Funeral services will be held at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas, at 2 PM Saturday, November 22, 2014, with Bro. John Hodges and Bro. Henry Parker officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas, with services entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Family will receive friends Friday, November 21, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home. Memorials preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
