Jeanette Blue

Jeanette Blue was born April 7, 1940, in Ash Flat, Arkansas, daughter of Tom and Prussia (Howell) Martin. She departed this life Monday, February 9, 2015, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 2 days. Jeanette spent her working years in the nursing home as the head cook. She was a board member of Salem Housing Authority since 2004. Jeanette will be missed by all who knew and truly loved her. She is survived by one daughter, Amanda Garland and husband, David of Ash Flat, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Samantha Garland and Lindsay Garland, both of Nashville, Tennessee; a sister, Willene Peart of East Wenachee, Washington; three brothers, Edwin Ray Martin of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Jack Martin and wife, Linda of Sonoma, California, and Donald Martin and wife, Carol of Ash Flat, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters and six brothers. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015, 2:00 PM at Old Baptist Cemetery in Ash Flat, Arkansas, with Randy Robinson officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Memorials preferred to American Cancer Society.
