Julian Eddy Tucker

April 20, 1940 — March 7, 2015

Julian Eddy Tucker was born in Glencoe, Arkansas, on April 20, 1940, son of Clarence and Lola Dee (McDonald) Tucker. He departed this life Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 15 days. Julian travelled all over the world with Brown & Root, visiting such places as Saudi Arabia and Germany. He was Owner and Agent-Broker at Tri-County Insurance. Julian loved to read and teach the Bible to young adults and was also a WW II history buff. He loved the outdoors, was an avid horseman and fisherman, and enjoyed playing games with his family. He was known for his spectacular Southwest BBQ sauce and was a member of Salem Church of Christ. His three daughters and four grandchildren were truly the light of his life. Julian is survived by daughters, Sandra Tucker Roberts (Mick) of Malakoff, Texas, Judy Tucker Goodner (Robert) of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Julie Tucker Hickam (Andrew) of Park City, Utah, and April Bennett Mungle (Chris) of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, grandchildren, Michael Chase McMahan of Idabel, Oklahoma, Morgan Roberts of Dallas, Texas, Jillian Highfill and Brooks Hickam, both of Park City, Utah; his mother, Lola Dee Tucker of Salem, Arkansas; Alta Rhea Westmoreland; Jennifer Penn Tucker; one sister, Sharon Tucker Baine of Beaumont, Texas; a brother, Dana Tucker (Mary) of Deltona, Florida; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Tucker and brother-in-law, Dr. Gary Baine. Funeral services will be held at Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Arkansas, 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 11, 2015, with Bro. David Gibson, Bro. Mike Yates and Dan Mullens officiating. Interment in the Agnos Cemetery in Agnos, Arkansas, with arrangements entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Family will receive friends Tuesday, March 10, 2015, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials preferred to American Cancer Society or Agnos Cemetery.
