Sharon Kay Howell

Sharon Kay (Lewis) Howell was born February 24, 1948, in Glencoe, Arkansas, daughter of General Price and Ruby Florence (McCullough) Lewis. She departed this life Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the age of 67 years, 2 months and 27 days. Sharon spent her working years at Jonesboro Overhead Door Company in the marketing/sales division. She was a member of Valley View Church of Christ and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Sharon is survived by her husband, Earnie Howell of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one daughter, Shanon Johnson (Tim) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; a son, Tod Howell of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Timothy Price Johnson (Britney), Seth Christian Johnson and Jori Hope Fair; two great grandchildren, Avery Price Johnson and Paisley Kate Johnson; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one son, Marc Sayle; her parents; and a sister, Della Faye Lewis. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015, 2:00 PM in the Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. David Gibson officiating. Interment will be in the Morriston Cemetery in Morriston, Arkansas, with arrangements entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Family will receive friends Saturday, May 23, from 12 Noon until time of service at the Salem Church of Christ. Pallbearers are Tod Howell, Tim Johnson, Price Johnson, Seth Johnson, Keith Rose and Rick Small. Honorary Pallbearers are former coworkers at Jonesboro Overhead Door Company. Memorials may be made to the Valley View Church of Christ or John 3:16 Ministries.
