Bettie Jewel Linthicum

Bettie Jewel Linthicum was born in San Angelo, Texas, on December 29, 1932, daughter of Tandy Lucas and Jennie Belle (Smith) Hord. She departed this life on July 26, 2015, at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 27 days. Bettie was united in marriage to Fred Donald Linthicum on January 6, 1952, in Globe, Arizona. She was a homemaker and attended the Salem First Assembly of God Church. She is survived by one daughter, Darlene Babcock of Glencoe, Arkansas; three sons, Fred Linthicum and wife Debbie of Cave City, Arkansas, Johney Linthicum and wife Carla of the state of Illinois, and Harold Linthicum of Glencoe, Arkansas; five grandchildren; two honorary granddaughters; two great grandchildren; one brother, Jack Hord of Worthington, Minnesota; two sisters, Edith Linthicum of Conway, Arkansas and Gladys Rose Gerrard of Weatherford, Texas; many other relatives and friends. Bettie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and a granddaughter. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2015, 10:00 AM at Salem Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. Kenn DeShane officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
