John Joseph Sanders Sr

John Joseph Sanders Sr was born in Emmitsburg, Maryland, on December 14, 1938, son of Robert and Blanche Cecilia (Sprankle) Sanders. He departed this life Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 11 days. John was united in marriage to Linda Mae Schenandore in Emmitsburg, Maryland, on May 7, 1966. He served his Country with the US Air Force and was employed as a factory worker in the auto industry. John was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Thayer, Missouri. He was a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather. John is survived by his wife Linda of the home in Cherokee Village, Arkansas; three sons, Joseph William Sanders (Tracie) of Pomona, Missouri, James Marshal Sanders of St. Louis, Missouri, and John Joseph Sanders Jr of Yukon, Oklahoma; one grandson, Corey Allen Sanders (Courtney) of Quantico, Virginia; a sister, Mary Bowne of Emmitsburg, Maryland; two brothers, Raymond Sanders (Josey) of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and Paul Sanders (Dorothy) of McSherrystown, Pennsylvania; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Rita and Ann, and three brothers, George, Marshal and Thomas. Arrangements entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
