Laroy Foster

April 10, 1943 — September 7, 2015

Laroy Foster was born in Gepp, Arkansas, on April 10, 1943, son of Roy and Mae Belle (Brown) Foster. He departed this life Monday, September 7, 2015, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 28 days. Laroy was united in marriage to Geraldine Sizemore on June 14, 1969. He served his Country during the Vietnam Conflict with the US Army. Laroy attended the First Assembly of God in Bakersfield, Missouri, and loved going to Gospel singings anywhere close. He enjoyed time spent with friends everywhere and especially at the Senior Citizens Center. Laroy loved all Viola Longhorn sports, and was a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Arkansas Razorbacks. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Laroy is survived by one daughter, Amy Jo Flemon (Bruce) of Gepp, Arkansas; two sons, Dan Alan Foster (Marianne) of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, and David Lee Foster (Beverly) of Springfield, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Jericho Flemon, Canaan Flemon, Josiah Flemon, Lauren Canning, Matthew Foster, Zachery Foster, Samuel Foster, Laura Foster, Madison Foster and Dallas Foster; six great grandchildren, Avery, Ryan, Charlotte, Malachi, Aurora and Matthias; one sister, Freda Taylor (Carl) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by Gerri Foster; his parents, Roy and Belle Foster and a brother, Tony. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015, 10:00 AM at First Assembly of God in Bakersfield, Missouri, with Bro. Curtis Tackitt and Bro. Ray Riggs officiating. Family will receive friends Friday, September 11, 2015, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Barker Funeral Home in Salem. Interment will be in the Shrable Cemetery in Vidette, Arkansas, with services entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Memorials preferred to Shrable Cemetery or Vidette Church. Pallbearers are Zachery Foster, Michael Ross, Samuel Foster, Kenneth Don Foster, Matthew Foster and Donnie Walker. Honorary pallbearers are Ken Foster, Rob Siedel, R L Maynard and Garry Tackitt.
