Kermit Clyde Comstock

Kermit Clyde Comstock, 78, of Gepp, Arkansas, was born on August 26, 1938, in Elizabeth, Arkansas, son of Kermit Winston and Mable Angeline (Davis) Comstock. He departed this life on September 4, 2016 at Hospice of the Ozarks, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Clyde married Vica Irene Mackey at Henderson, Arkansas on September 28, 1956 and to this union 3 children were born. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He did construction work most of his life. He loved sitting on the back porch, hunting, fishing, and playing music, but most of all he loved riding the back roads. He is survived by his wife, Vica Irene Comstock of Gepp, Arkansas; two sons, Kermit Billy Comstock (Tracy) of Viola, Arkansas and Amel Dale Comstock (April) of Gepp, Arkansas; daughter, Patricia Irene Fisher (Robby McCarty) of Viola, Arkansas; sister, Olene Davis of Salem, Arkansas; five grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother (Willard Comstock), and sister (Joan Crotts). Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Elizabeth Cemetery, in Elizabeth, Arkansas. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 7, 2016, 6-8 PM at Barker Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Billy Comstock, Orville Crotts, Dale Comstock, Charlie Crotts, Casey Comstock, and T.J. Hickman. Honorary Pallbearers are Steve Williams, Robby McCarty, and Bill Hammond. Memorials may be made to the Elizabeth Cemetery Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas 72576.
