Owen Euion York

Owen Euion York, 86, of Morriston, Arkansas, was born on June 3, 1930, in Wiseman, Arkansas, son of George and Loma (Taylor) York. He departed this life on September 22, 2016 at Fulton County Hopital in Salem, Arkansas. Euion married Opal Imogene Branscum on November 25, 1950 at Heart, Arkansas and to this union three children were born. Euion spent his working years as a farmer and was a member of the Morriston Church of Christ. Euion was a good husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, and brother. Euion is survived by his wife, Opal York of Morriston, Arkansas; three sons, Rick York (Pam) of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Terry York (Donna) of Salem, Arkansas, and Brock York (Robin) of Salem, Arkansas; two sisters, Vernitha Dover of Salem, Arkansas and Mae Williams of Franklin, Arkansas; six granchildren, Hollie Tomboli (Chad) of White Hall, Arkansas, Keri Wilkinson (Shane) of Bentonville, Arkansas, Dusty York (Lyndsay) of Tipton, Missouri, Dylan York of Salem, Arkansas, Brooke York of Salem, Arkansas, and Bailey York of Salem, Arkansas; five great grandchildren, Isabella Tomboli, Ethan Tomboli, Noelle Wilkinson, Lila Wilkinson, and Lucy York, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister (Deletta Kersey), and brother (Thadneal York). Funeral Services will be on Saturday, September 24, 2016, 2:00 PM, at Barker Funeral Home, in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. until time of service. Interment will be in Morriston Cemetery, Morriston, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Michael Dover, Ted York, Dean Branscum, Joe York, Kim York, and Trapper York. Memorials may be made to Morriston Cemetery Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
