Clessie Mae Kinder

Clessie Mae (Ward) Kinder, 88, of Viola, Arkansas was born on May 11, 1928, in Sturkie, Arkansas, daughter of Louie Earl and Vesta Leona (Peterson) Ward. She departed this life on January 27, 2017 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.   Clessie was a member of the Viola First Baptist Church. She loved quilting, going to craft shows, and most of all she loved her family and friends. She is survived by her three sons, Gary Kinder and wife Randi of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jackie Kinder of Cord, Arkansas, and Dennis Kinder and wife Debra of Viola, Arkansas; daughter, Peggy Holland and husband Harry of McRae, Arkansas; sister, Wanda Spencer of Elijah, Missouri; ten grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two great grandchildren (Jordan Kinder and Rosa Mae Middlebrooks), and three sisters (Juanita Smith, Freda Smith, and Mary Lou Pitts).   Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 30, 2017 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until time of service Monday, January 30, 2017 at Barker Funeral Home.  Pallbearers are Jason Kinder, Jarret Kinder, Scotty Strayhorn, Daniel Kinder, Joe Mike Holland, and Brady Ramsey. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital or Hospice of North Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
