Alice Marie Throckmorton

Alice Marie (Baker) Throckmorton, 88, of Salem, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, August 28, 2020 in Salem, Arkansas.  Alice was born August 23, 1932 to Frank Baker and Alice Lorraine (Mueth) Baker in Elsberry, Missouri.

Alice married Kenneth Lavern Throckmorton on October 11, 1951 at Bowling Green, Missouri.  Alice spent her working years as a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith.  Alice loved her family and enjoyed cross stitching, puzzle books, and her flowers.  She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Alice is survived by her 2 sons, Kenneth Wayne Throckmorton (Gwen) of Kansas City, Kansas and Raymond Fitzgerald Throckmorton (Kim) of Liberty Hill, Texas;  daughter, Wanda Sue Humphries (Donald) of Mountain Home, Arkansas;  7 grandchildren, Phillip Throckmorton (Niki), Brian Throckmorton, Terry Humphries (Jess), Tracy Humphries, Dalton Throckmorton, Danielle Throckmorton and Dylan Throckmorton; 3 great grandchildren, Michael Throckmorton, Abigail Throckmorton and Parker Raye Humphries;  brother, Richard Baker of St. Louis, Missouri;  brother-in-law, Charles Vaughn of Granite City, Illinois;  sister, Eileen Wade of Salem, Arkansas;  many other relatives and friends.  Alice is preceded in death by her husband (Kenneth), parents and 2 sons, (Michael Eugene Throckmorton and Stephen Darrell Throckmorton).

Private family services will be held with Bro. John Hodges officiating.  Memorial may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee in lieu of flowers.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
