Alice Jean Wright

Alice Jean Wright, 67, of Viola, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, July 31, 2020 in Salem, Arkansas.  Alice was born September 29, 1952 to Earl Conn Henderson and Barbara Jean (Dowers) Henderson in Paris, Illinois.

Alice married James Leroy Wright on February 16, 1972 at Shawneetown, Illinois.  Alice spent her working years as a homemaker.  Alice loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grand babies and great grand babies. She was stubborn but liked to joke and laugh at family get-togethers. She enjoyed fishing and gardening when she was able to and loved to bake. Her kids and grand kids were her pride and joy in life. She was pillar of strength and raised her kids to be strong and independent. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Alice is survived by her son, Kyle James Wright (Angelia) of Gepp, Arkansas;  2 daughters, Jamie Lee Wright Susko of Westville, Illinois and Lacey Jean Wright of Viola, Arkansas;  mother, Barbara Bann of Westville, Illinois: 9 grandchildren, Adrianna Thompson (Robert), Heaven Horn, Nathan Bettis, Ethan Bettis, Olivia Bettis, Everleigh Bullock, Kyson Bullock, Trinity Wright and Dana Wright; 3 great grandchildren, Jamison Horn, Madison Thompson and Karlee Thompson;  2 brothers, Earl Conn Henderson, Jr. of Danville, Illinois and Steven Ray Henderson (Patricia) of Georgetown, Illinois;  many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Alice is preceded in death by her husband, father, daughter (Christine Wright), grandson (Justin Gage Wright), 2 sisters (Deborah Ann Henderson and Cindy Sue Sorrel).

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at the Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.  Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until time of the service Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
