Alma Ruth Sanders

Alma Ruth (Early) Sanders, 85, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away on September 4, 2025, in Salem, Arkansas. She was born on May 20, 1940, in Sturkie, Arkansas, to Frank F. and Rebecca Faye (Hinton) Early.

Alma worked for many years as a CNA in healthcare, where she was dedicated to helping others. She was of the Christian faith and found great joy in caring for her family, who were the center of her life. In her spare time, she enjoyed working puzzles, playing cards and dominoes, gardening, and tending to her flowers.

She is survived by her son, Frank Hutchison (Jan) of Viola, Arkansas; her daughter, Linda Hutchison of Viola, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Sandie Metcalf of West Plains, Missouri, and Chris Hutchison of Springfield, Missouri; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Wendell Ray Hutchison; and four brothers.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Calm Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.

Alma will be remembered for her love of family, her kind heart, and the joy she brought to those around her.
