Anna Lea Shaw

Anna Lea (Abney) Shaw, age 73, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas was born on September 28, 1943 in Camp, Arkansas, daughter of Hershel Sanford and Hattie Roxie Althea (Sutherland) Abney. She departed this life on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in Salem, Arkansas.   Anna spent her working years as a manager at the Crownpoint Resort in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. Anna was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #3431 and the Boating and Fishing Club of Horseshoe Bend. She loved her kids, grandkids, working in the yard and fishing. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was a member of the Horseshoe Bend First Baptist Church.   Anna is survived by her son, Michael Strauser of Brockwell, Arkansas: two daughters, Carolyn Strauser West of West Plains, Missouri and Kathryn Strauser of Mountain View, Missouri; brother, Johnny Ray Abney (Joy) of Calhoun, Missouri; two sisters, Betty Swanson of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and Joyce Tullis (Mike) of Deepwater, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Jodi, Justin, Jonathan, Stephen, Ashley and Tyler; seven great grandchildren, Zachary, Logan, Jordan, Keagan, Addisyn, Braydon and Parker; many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by two husbands (Edward J. Shaw and Wayne Jefferies), parents, brother (Sanford Abney), sister (Lillian Strauser) and son in law (Ken West).   Funeral Services will be 10:00   A.M. Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Pallbearers are Stephen Helton, Tyler West, Jonathan Strauser, Dennis Murdy, Kip Murdy, Cecil Abney and Toby Trivitt. Interment will be in the Camp Cemetery in Camp, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. Friday, July 21, 2017 at Barker Funeral Home. Memorials may be left with the funeral home for the family to use for a charity of their choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
