Barbara Lou (Carr) Willett

July 14, 1934 — August 30, 2022

Barbara Lou Carr Willett known to most as “Granny Barb” was born on July 14, 1934, to Harold and Dorothy Carr at their home in Stet, Missouri. She departed this life on August 30, 2022, at her home in Moko, Arkansas surrounded by her family. She was 88 years 1 month and 16 days old. Barbara was united in marriage to the love of her life, Bill “Pete” Willett, on November 23, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, to this union six children were born. Barbara spent her working years as a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker working alongside Pete on the family farm. In 1960, the Willett Family opened the Salem Livestock Auction where Barbara worked as the office clerk for many years. Barbara was known for her hard work, love of Jesus, and the ability to feed her large family with whatever ingredients she had in her kitchen. There was always room for “one more” at Granny’s table. While Barbara spent many working days tending to the family farm operations, she never missed an opportunity to attend church and teach her children and grandchildren about Jesus. Barbara enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family. Barbara was a member of the Moko Church of Christ.
