Betty Marie Wilkening

Betty Marie Wilkening, 96, of Granite City, Illinois (formerly of Camp, Arkansas) passed from this life on Thursday, October 22, 2020 in Granite City, Illinois.  Betty was born March 18, 1924 to Luther Ozike Holloway and Julia Ann (Martin) Holloway in Moko, Arkansas.

Betty was married to Bryce Henry Wilkening on July 17, 1943 at Salem, Arkansas and to this union two daughters were born.  Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Camp Church of Christ in Camp, Arkansas.  Betty was a hard worker and loved taking care of her chickens.  Betty was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.

Betty leaves to mourn her passing, daughter, Ina Townzen of Granite City, Illinois; three grandchildren, Tona Townzen of Granite City, Illinois, Christopher Townzen of Granite City, Illinois and Patrick Townzen and wife Erin of Hamel, Illinois; seven great grandchildren; brother, Les Holloway and wife Rose of West Plains, Missouri;  many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Betty is preceded in death by her husband (Bryce), daughter (Lorene Brigham), parents, granddaughter (Marla Castillo), four brothers and one sister.

Graveside services will be Sunday, 2:00 PM, October 25, 2020 at Stateline Cemetery in Moko, Arkansas with Bro. Eric Lewis officiating.  Interment will be in the Stateline Cemetery in Moko, Arkansas.  Memorials may be made to your charity of choice.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
