Billy Don Herron

Billy Don Herron, 83, of Salem, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Jonesboro, Arkansas. Billy Don was born on February 16, 1940, to Willie Oden Herron and Elsie (Bristow) Herron in Ash Flat, Arkansas.  
 
Billy Don was united in marriage to Judy Ann Leming on May 21, 1965, in Salem, Arkansas, and to this union two children were born. Billy Don spent his working years as a truck driver for approximately thirty plus years. He enjoyed family, his time driving a truck, going to the lake, and going to the coffee shop to tell stories and give people a hard time. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, and was a member of the Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Arkansas. 
 
Billy Don leaves to mourn his passing wife, Judy Herron of the home; son, Bradley Herron and wife Wanda of Salem, Arkansas; daughter, Christal Havner and husband Michael of Salem, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Payton Herron, Kelby Herron and wife Paige, Gage Herron, Ashton Jones and husband Austin, Landon McEntire, Lathon Brown, and Kaitlyn Havner; three great grandchildren, Amelia Jones, Kashten Cobb, and one on the way; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. 
  
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. David Gibson and Bro. Mike Yates officiating.  Visitation will be from 12 noon until time-of-service Tuesday, January 2, 2024. The interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas. The pallbearers will be Bradley Herron, Michael Havner, Payton Herron, Kelby Herron, Lathon Brown, and Justin Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Gage Herron, Landon McEntire, Butch Ellison, Austin Jones and Thomas O’Donnell. Memorials may be made to the Fairview Cemetery Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
