Bob R. Bowling, 84, of West Plains, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Brooke Haven Healthcare, West Plains, Missouri. Bob was born on July 6, 1940, to John Tollie Bowling and Mary Ethel (Chadwick) Bowling in Salem, Arkansas.
After high school graduation Bob served in the United States Air Force for four years, being stationed in Puerto Rico. Bob spent most of his working years in real estate sales, and then a commercial real estate title examiner for Lincoln Evans Land Title Co. Bob retired in 2005. His hobbies included relief woodcarving, fishing, and golfing. He loved spending time on Bowling Hill, his beloved home place in Salem, Arkansas surrounded by his brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, and was a member of the church of Christ.
Bob is survived by his wife, Wanda (Killion) Bowling of Caulfield, Missouri; daughter, Jessica Rudd of Thayer, Missouri; son, Damon Bowling of Tulsa, Oklahoma; step-daughter, Teresa Dove (Ricky) of Caulfield, Missouri; four grandchildren, Alexis Bowling, Samantha Roller (Zach), Mackenzie Bowling, and Maddison Shrable (Alec); step grandchildren, Jessica Wallace and son Quinn, Dustin Rudd and Tyler Dove; great grandchildren, Kaiden Martin, Dean Roller, and Braylee Shrable; sister Nadine Rough of Kansas City, Missouri; many nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents (John and Mary Bowling), seven brothers (C.P., John, Coy, Clarence, Shelby, James Bradley, Buddy), and four sisters (Frances, Nova, Ola Faye, Betty).
Memorial services will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
