Callie Jean Crosland

Callie Jean (Morgan) Crosland, 85, of Salem, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in Salem, Arkansas. Callie was born to the late Pearl Eagleton Morgan and Leola (Hurst) Morgan on February 9, 1934 in Palmer, Arkansas.

Callie was united in marriage to Harold Ray Crosland on May 15, 1955 in Clarendon, Arkansas and to this union seven children were born. Callie was a homemaker, an immaculate seamstress and the best biscuit maker in the world. Callie loved her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend.

Callie leaves to mourn her passing; two sons, Harold Wayne Crosland of Salem, Arkansas and Dale Lyn Crosland of Pochahontas, Arkansas; five daughters, Peggy Catlett (Johnny) of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, Margaret Burrus of Springdale, Arkansas, Kay Baxter of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Connie Sommerfeld (Terry) of Byron, Arkansas and Mary Jane Lloyd of Salem, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; three brothers, Billy Joe Morgan (Shirley) of Clarendon, Arkansas, Bruce Wayne Morgan (Julie) of Clarendon, Arkansas and Buster Morgan of Brinkley, Arkansas; loving pet, Lucas; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, four brothers (Milton Eagleton Morgan, Hugh Andrew Morgan, Sam Franklin Morgan and Mural Albert Morgan) and two sisters (Beatrice Wallace and Edna Joyce Caldwell).

Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 31, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas with Pastor John Fears officiating. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
