Carolyn Sue Bain

Carolyn Sue (Irwin) Bain, age 65, born January 20, 1952 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, daughter of Ernest “Duke” Irwin and Florine (Funderburke) Irwin. She departed this life on January 16, 2018 in Ash Flat, Arkansas. Carolyn obtained her Master’s Degree from the University of Arkansas in 1975 in Social Work. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and was a member of the Immanuel Southern Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas.   She leaves to mourn her passing; husband, John Joseph Bain of Ash Flat, Arkansas; father, Ernest “Duke” Irwin of Pine Bluff, Arkansas three daughters, Malissa Perkins and husband Ramsey of Franklin, Arkansas, Leanne Bain of Evening Shade, Arkansas and Sarah Bain of Ft. Myers, Florida; son, Edward Bain of Jonesboro, Arkansas; grandson, Kaden J. Bain; brother, William Rester and wife Mary Alice of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; sister, Barbara Sparks and husband Michael of Snellville, Georgia; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother.   Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Alan Winberry officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until time of service on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Barker Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Ray Barker, Denny Bost, Ron Helm, John Dvorak, Kenny Crow and Matt Turner. Honorary pallbearer is Glenn Sanderson. Memorials may be made to the New Beginnings Pregnancy Help Center in Ash Flat, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
