Camp

Charles Lowell Butler, 90, of Camp, Arkansas, passed away on January 27, 2024, at Camp, Arkansas. Charles was born on October 25, 1933, to Curtis Randall Butler and Laura (Holloway) Butler in Camp, Arkansas.

Charles married the love of his life, Catherine Collins, on June 10, 1959, in Hardy, Arkansas and to this union three daughters were born. Charles was a faithful member of the Camp Church of Christ in Camp, Arkansas. He always referred to God as “The Good Lord.”

He was a Master Carpenter. He built many houses in Fulton County and remodeled many more. He also worked in Texas, building houses for several years. He built a home for his family. He had a great work ethic. He believed in giving an hours work for an hours pay. If he were working for you, he would be holding a hammer or a saw. He also taught many younger workers that ethic.

Charles enjoyed all kinds of hunting. He loved to go watch his children and grandchildren play sports. His children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the light of his life. He lived for their visits. No one had a better Papa.

Charles leaves to mourn his passing wife, Catherine Butler of the home; son, Bill Pitchford and wife Cindy of Nixa, Missouri; two daughters, Rebecca Koelling and husband Lyle of Salem, Arkansas and Amy Rucker and husband Bryan of Camp, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Tyler Pitchford (Andrea), Tesa Ramskow (Matt), Clay Rucker (Kari), Hunter Boles (Lindsey), Taylor Guffey (John), Coby Noakes (Michelle), Kali Koelling, and Grant Rucker; ten great grandchildren, Dalton, Elena, Rileigh, Lawson, Holly Claire, Andilynn, Zayden, Elijah, Noah, and Jonah; brother, Jerry Butler and wife Sandy of Gamaliel, Arkansas; sister, Helen Walling and husband Jackie of Camp, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter (Kathy Dianne Butler), parents (Curtis and Laura Butler), adopted son (Daniel Sheets) and adopted son (Tyrone Fitzgerald).
