Charles "Ed" Edward Godt

Charles “Ed” Edward Godt, 77, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas departed this life on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in Salem, Arkansas. He was born on October 5, 1940 in Dixon, Illinois.

Charles was united in marriage to Dyanne Caroline Trachsler on August 20, 1960 in Greensboro, North Carolina and to this union four children were born. Charles spent his working years as a mechanic, technical instructor at all levels and a trouble shooter for many different companies. Charles served two terms as Mayor of Village of Lake Moor, Illinois and was on the Village board for twenty years. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend and was of the Protestant faith.

He leaves to mourn his passing; spouse, Dyanne Godt of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; two sons, Gregory J. Godt and wife Cathy of Cleveland, Ohio and Brian Edward Godt of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; two daughters, Denise Stephen and husband Charles of Salem, Wisconsin and Terri Lyons and husband Bryan of Malad, Idaho; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three brothers, James Godt and wife Beverly of Canon City, Colorado, Richard Godt and wife Shirley of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and David Godt and wife Betty of Fort Wayne, Indiana; four sisters, Glenda Olson and husband Allen of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Candy Ziemer and husband Ken of Yellville, Arkansas, Sherrie Lien and husband Douglas of Rio, Wisconsin and Melody Chapman and husband Gordon of Fort Wayne, Indiana and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Glen and Dorotha Godt and Joseph Wright and sister; Gloria Guy.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Rago – Baldwin Funeral Home in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Rago - Baldwin Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Denzer Cemetery in Denzer, Wisconsin. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
