Charles Sherpinski III

Charles Sherpinski III, 77, of Salem, Arkansas was born on May 21, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland, son of Charles Sherpinski Jr. and Mary (DeFazio) Sherpinski. He departed this life on June 22, 2017 in Salem, Arkansas.   He spent his working years as an engineer in the Merchant Marines. He was of the Catholic faith and served his country in the United States Navy. He enjoyed the many activities at the nursing home, especially the music.             He is survived by his daughters; Cathleen Lane and husband Ralph of Oxfod, Cheryl Sherpinski of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Carol Cook of Matamoras, Pennsylvania, Charlotte Bowers of Martinsburg, West Virginia, and Jeani Switala and husband Kent of Otisville, New York; sister, Johann Sherpinski; twenty grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by wives, Christine Sherpinski and Cecelia Sherpinski; daughter, Kelly Brown; two grandchildren; two brothers, John and Stephen; one sister, Patricia; his father and mother.  Celebration of life will be Monday June 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Jerry Thrasher officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
