Chloe Cele McGee

Chloe Cele (Cotter) McGee, 82, of Gepp, Arkansas, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in Salem, Arkansas. Chloe was born to Gilbert Marvin Cotter and Nancy Bessie (Foster) Cotter on April 29, 1941, in Gepp, Arkansas.  
 
Chloe was united in marriage to James Chapman McGee on August 26, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri. Chloe spent her working years as a house painter. Chloe helped take care of her mother and sister for several years and was caretaker of the Pleasant View Cemetery (Gobbler Trot) in Gepp, Arkansas. Chloe also enjoyed her family, playing cards, and later in life was the drummer in the Music Brothers Band. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. 
 
Chloe leaves to mourn her passing, two sons, Chad McGee and wife Sharon of Sapphire, North Carolina and Darren McGee of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two grandchildren, James McGee of Auburn, Alabama and Andrew McGee of Hillsboro, Oregon; two brothers, Darrell Cotter of Viola, Arkansas and Kermit Cotter of Viola, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband (James McGee), parents (Gilbert and Bessie Cotter), three sisters, and four brothers. 
 
No services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Pleasant View Cemetery (Gobbler Trot) at the Bank of Salem. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
