Clyde David McCollum

Clyde David McCollum, 68, of Ash Flat, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, October 9, 2020 in Ash Flat, Arkansas.  Clyde was born August 11, 1952 to Jerl Roland McCollum and Goldie Alta (Pitchford) McCollum in Salem, Arkansas.

 Clyde was married to Debbie Lee Nix on August 11, 1972 at Ash Flat, Arkansas and to this union two daughters were born.  Clyde spent 27 years working for the Arkansas State Highway Department and retired as the Supervisor of the Striping Crew.  Clyde loved his family, loved his job and was a member of the Myron Baptist Church in Myron, Arkansas.  Clyde was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend.

 Clyde leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Debbie McCollum of Ash Flat, Arkansas;  two daughters, Tausha Ingram (Mike) of Ash Flat, Arkansas and Tiffney Miller (John) of Melbourne, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Clay Ingram (Savanna) of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Cody Ingram of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Bryce Ingram (Patience) of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Gracie Ingram (Hunter) of Ash Flat, Arkansas, John Ethan Miller of Melbourne, Arkansas and Ella Beth Miller of Melbourne, Arkansas; great grandson, Maverick Jensen Ingram of Ash Flat, Arkansas; 2 brothers, Willard McCollum (Judy) of Ash Flat, Arkansas and Claude McCollum of Morriston, Arkansas;  6 sisters, Jerlene Sisney (Truman) of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Wanda Lambert (Les) of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Martha McCollum of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Joyce Cherry of Agnos, Arkansas, Brenda White (Danny) of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and Rhonda Young (Darin) of Salem, Arkansas;  sister-in-law, Sharlene McCollum of Morriston, Arkansas;  best friend, Tom Duncan of Batesville, Arkansas;  many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, brother (Harold Ray McCollum), sister-in-law (Diane McCollum), brother-in-law (Jimmy Cherry), and niece (Jodi Hutson).

Funeral services will be Monday, 2:00 PM, October 12, 2020 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Charlie Yates officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, 12:00-2:00, October 12, 2020 at Barker Funeral Home.  Interment will be in the  Wiles Cemetery in Ash Flat,  Arkansas.  Pallbearers are Tom Duncan, Clay Ingram, Cody Ingram, Bryce Ingram, David Bailey, John David Miller, Mike Price and David Ingram.  Honorary pallbearers are John Ethan Miller, Truman Sisney, Cletus Bailey, Les Lambert, Willard McCollum, Darin Young, Danny White and Claude McCollum.  Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital (Hemophilia Department or Breast Cancer Foundation.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
