Dana Kerr, 79, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away on March 7, 2026, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on September 25, 1946, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, to Dayton Kerr and Roberta (Broshart) Kerr.
On August 21, 1982, Dana married Rosemary Lisa Barks in Washington, New Jersey. Dana spent his working years in maintenance for American Can Company, where he was known as a dependable and hardworking man. Outside of work, he enjoyed the outdoors and many hobbies that brought him happiness. Dana loved hunting, collecting guns and knives, and spending time with animals. Above all, he treasured his family and the time they shared together.
Dana was of the Methodist faith and lived a life centered on the things he cared about most—family, the outdoors, and the simple joys of life.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Kerr of the home; his son, Dayton Kerr of Madison, Wisconsin; his daughter, Jody Henry (Jeff) of Castine, Maine; three grandchildren, Autumn, Spring, and Miles; and one great-grandchild, Delaney. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dayton and Roberta Kerr, and his daughter, Karime.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Memorials may be made to the Salem Police Department.
Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
