Deborah Lynn (Bassham) Callahan

Deborah Lynn (Bassham) Callahan, age 57, was born to the late James Alvin Bassham and Mona Louise (Smith) Bassham on November 8, 1960 in West Plains, Missouri. She departed this life April 20, 2018 in Salem, Arkansas.

Deborah was married to Burdette Callahan on August 27, 1977 in Salem, Arkansas. Deborah was a homemaker, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by husband, Burdette Callahan of Salem, Arkansas; son, Christopher Lee Callahan of West Plains, Missouri; three daughters, Crystal Michelle May (Jacky May) of West Plains, Missouri, Vanessa Ann Callahan (Alan Gorham) of Thayer, Missouri and Rebecca Lynn Balderston (Matthew Balderston) of Ash Flat, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Dustin Ray Warren, Charles Edward Wilcox, Daniel Howard Gorham, AJ Gorham, Breanna Renee Gorham, Nicholas James Gorham, Hailey Elizabeth Gorham, Gabriel Isaac Balderston, Sarah Grace Balderston and Abigail Hope Balderston; two great granddaughters; two brothers, Ricky Dewayne Perry (Juanita) of West Plains, Missouri and James Darrell Bassham of Cabot, Arkansas; sister, Carolyn June Pitcock of West Plains, Missouri; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister (Regina Kay Jackson) and grandson (Levi Shane Wilcox).

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Wayne Hurst officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will be in the Stateline Cemetery in Moko, Arkansas. Pallbearers are John Callahan, Otha Callahan, Daniel Gorham, Gary Mitchell, Christopher Callahan and AJ Gorham. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Phipps, Freddie Phipps and Jacky May. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
