Delmar Dale Moore, Jr., age 84, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, Salem, Arkansas. He was born on April 27, 1941, in Huntington, West Virginia, to the late Delmar Dale Moore, Sr. and Loreda (Ward) Moore.
Delmar proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his military service, he worked in residential construction, dedicating his life to building homes and helping others create their own foundations.
On September 21, 1965, Delmar married Corla Mae Hamlin in Huntington, West Virginia. Their marriage was built on love, respect, and shared joy.
Delmar had a love for the land and enjoyed farming. He was also a talented crocheter and dream catcher maker, and he found great comfort in westerns and the simple pleasures of life. Above all, he treasured his time with family.
He is survived by daughter, Dianna Moore (Ricky King), close family friend, Anna May Arnold. Daughter, Barbara Ann Turner; his sons, Eddie Ray Moore, Sr. and Delmar Dale Moore, III; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a He is also remembered fondly by many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife (Corla Moore), two daughters (Peggy Jo Boak and Wynnette Marie Moore), three great grandchildren and six brothers and sisters.
Delmar’s legacy lives on in the strong values he instilled, the work he accomplished, and the family he loved so deeply.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate his life. Memorials may be made to Barker Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
