Denny Dean Wilken

Denny Dean Wilken, age 70, of Salem, Arkansas was born on January 30, 1947 in Garden City, Kansas, son of George Carl and Martha Viola (Burkart) Wilken. He departed this life on Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Mountain Home, Arkansas.   Denny married Linda Sue Chase on September 2, 1967 at Mountain Home, Arkansas and to this union one son was born. He spent his working years as a math teacher at Salem Schools, a surveyor, a tax preparer with H & R Block in Salem, Arkansas and as a dispatcher with North Arkansas Electric Cooperative.   Denny is survived by his wife, Linda Wilken of Salem, Arkansas; son, Justin Wilken and wife Brandy of Greenbrier, Arkansas: two sisters, Georgia Barrett and husband Jakie of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Donna Treat and husband Bob of Fayetteville, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.   There will be a memorial visitation service from 10:00 - 12:00 Saturday, August 5th, 2017 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
