Dewey Lester Dillon

Dewey Lester Dillon, age 84, departed this life on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born to the late William Riley Dillon and Wilda (May) Dillon on April 12, 1934 in Kirk, West Virginia.

Dewey worked on the assembly line at General Motors until he retired. Dewey will be remembered as a loving son, brother, companion and friend and was of the Baptist faith.

He leaves to mourn his passing, companion and caregiver for the last twenty years, Iva Stallard of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Adoptive family; David Lee Browning, Sherry Marcum, Mary Ann Bevins, Luke Marcum, David Brennan Browning, Aaron Adkins, Shyla Osborne, Cassandra Rogers, Delilah Marcum, Natalie Marcum, Sherlene Olson, Tom and Mary Adkins and Willis And Gay Carter; seven brothers, Lee Dillion, Henry Dillon, John Dillon, Jeff Dillon, Michael Dillon, Jeryl Paul Dillon and Dennis Dillon; three sisters, Antha Robinson, Bess McConnell and Ola Nicholson; many other relatives and friends.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers (William “Pike” Dillon and Everett Dillon) and three sisters (Gracie Stultz, Oma Straub and Lola Taylor).

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville, West Virginia with Bro. Glenn Tomblin officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home in Chapmanville, West Virginia. Interment will be in the Adkins Cemetery in Verdunville, West Virginia. Pallbearers are Luke Marcum, Brent Osborne, David Brennan Browning, Scott Adkins, David Lee Browning and Jason Adkins. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House of Mountain Home, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
