Dorthy Mae (Standley) Hutchison

Dorthy Mae (Standley) Hutchison, 86, of Thayer, Missouri passed from this life on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Mountain Home, Arkansas.  Dorthy was born March 28, 1935 to Joseph Hooker Standley, Jr. and Mabel Edith (Winn) Standley at Koshkonong, Missouri.

Dorthy was united in marriage to Roy Lavern Hutchison on May 6, 1956 in Hernando, Mississippi. Dorthy was a homemaker and was of the Protestant faith.  Dorthy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Dorthy leaves to mourn her passing, son, John Hutchison of Thayer, Missouri; 2 daughters, Loretta Lanpher of Wetumpka, Alabama and Carol Shaw of Creve Coeur, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; 4 sisters, Muriel Elser of Peoria, Illinois, Ruth Martin and husband Pete of Willow Springs, Illinois, Mary Fraley of Batesville, Arkansas, and Brenda Janes of Peoria, Illinois; 2 sisters-in-laws, Kay Standley of Shell Knob, Missouri and Carolyn Lewis and husband Noble of Sturkie, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends.  Dorthy was preceded in death by her husband (Roy Lavern Hutchison), son (Chuck), parents, three brothers (Gene, Ted and Jimmy), sister (Sarah Standley), and two sons-in-laws (Tom Lanpher and Bob Shaw). 

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, May 10, 2021 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with John Hutchison and Tanya Sharp officiating.  Visitation will be 12 noon until the time of service at Barker Funeral Home.  Interment will be in the Stateline Cemetery in Moko, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Chrissy Lanpher, Mike Freeman, Buford Noland, John Emery, Barry Aldridge, and Joe York.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ted York, Max Cates, Jr., Ed Cates, John Johnson, Tom Rhodemyre, and Larry Hammond.  Memorials may be made to Feeding America, PO Box 96749, Washington, DC 20090-6749.   Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
