Doyle Wayne Mitchell, 72, of Viola, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at his home in Viola, Arkansas. He was born on June 8, 1953, in Salem, Arkansas, to Cleve Warren and Walsa Mae (Jackson) Mitchell.
Doyle was a hardworking man who took great pride in everything he did. He spent more than forty years working in road construction as a superintendent, where his dedication, work ethic, and leadership left a lasting mark on every project he was part of. Doyle believed in an honest day’s work and was proud of the roads and communities he helped build.
Even outside of work, Doyle stayed busy doing what he loved most—working with his hands. He enjoyed woodworking, clearing land, and spending time on his farm, where he felt most at peace. Whether riding the Razor, fishing, or tending to his land, Doyle found joy in the simple things and the life he built through hard work.
Above all else, Doyle loved his family and was immensely proud of them. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and brother whose quiet strength, steady presence, and deep love will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Chad Mitchell of Newport, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Holly Mitchell of Jonesboro, Arkansas; significant other, Tabetha Jennings of Viola, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Lauren Mitchell, Hunter Mitchell, Taylor Mitchell (Damon Malko), Kendal Mitchell, and Hadley Mitchell; and his brother, Don Mitchell (Anita) of Viola, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Mitchell, and his parents, Cleve and Betty Mitchell.
