Ella Faye Phelps Presley

Mrs. Ella Faye Phelps Presley, age 88, of LaGrange, passed away on August 23, 2025. Mrs. Presley was born on January 19, 1937 in Heart, Arkansas to the late Farce Phelps and Lydia Joanne “Annie” Murphy Phelps. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Troy Eugene Presley and grandsons, Jeremiah Taylor and Kasey Estell.

Survivors include her children, Steven Grant Presley, Connie Denille Estell (Mike) and Kevin Wayne Presley (Bethany); brother, Willis Phelps (Glynda); grandchildren, Nicholas “Nick” Landrum (Jessica), Josh Presley, Lauren Presley and Halle Presley; great-grandchild, Hayden Estell.

Faye was a member of the church of Christ for 57 years. She was baptized into Christ in May, 1968 and remained steadfast in her Christian walk. She died as she lived: with an unwavering faith in Christ and the hope of eternal life. She was a wonderful and hospitable homemaker and considered the care of her husband and children her earthly vocation. Faye suffered many physical hardships and some heartaches in her life but was pressed forward. Among other serious health issues throughout her life, she was a 40-year survivor of breast cancer, and had more surgeries nearly than you can count. She was determined to overcome and live a long life, and that she did. Despite great chronic pain, she attended church as regularly as she could up to the time of her final illness and passing. She was a caring and loving woman who leaves a long legacy of friendships all across the country, and a reputation of faith, hope, and love that has inspired many along the way.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Four Oaks Church of Christ in LaGrange with Bob Loudermilk officiating. Family will receive friends on Tuesday at the church beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will be held at the Agnes Church of Christ Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas. The graveside service will be conducted by Don Pruitt.

Services at Salem, Arkansas will be as follows, visitation will be 11:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. Friday, August 29, 2025, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 29, 2025, at the Agnos Cemetery in Ash Flat, Arkansas.
