Essie "Beth" Elizabeth Lawing

Essie “Beth” Elizabeth (Shrable) Lawing, 90, of Gepp, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Mountain Home, Arkansas. Beth was born July 7, 1930 in Gepp, Arkansas to Alfred Marion Shrable and Mary Lavada (Roper) Shrable.

Beth was united in marriage to Samuel Elbert Lawing on July 9, 1947 in Salem, Arkansas. Beth spent her working years as a homemaker and was a member of the Viola Solid Rock Assembly at Viola, Arkansas. She enjoyed mowing her yard, working with her flowers, and working cattle. She is survived by her son, Jarrett Lawing and wife Janet of Caulfield, Missouri; two daughters, Linda Guthrie of Elizabeth, Arkansas and Carolyn Campbell and husband James of Gepp, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; sister, Nellie Marie Shrable at Gepp, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother (Lewis Shrable), sister (Berlyn Renfro), and son-in-law (Wendell Guthrie).

Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Shrable Cemetery in Gepp, Arkansas with Bro. Joe Garner officiating.  In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shrable Cemetery (Brenda Estes, P.O. Box 318, Viola, Arkansas 72583). Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
