Esther Marie Tyson

Esther (Sis) Tyson, daughter of Joseph and Velma Landry, passed away at Shady Oaks Nursing Home at the age of 87. She was born in Port Allen, Louisiana. Her father was a sugar cane mill foreman and her mother was a housewife. She was a loving wife and mother, a great seamstress and hair stylist who loved and appreciated nature.

She is survived by her four children; John M. Tyson and his wife Cecilia of Knoxville, Arkansas, Joseph M. (Mike) Tyson and his wife Barbara of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Ruth M. Tyson and her husband Tommy Martin of Bismarck, Arkansas, and Daniel (Danny) M. Tyson and his wife Audrey of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. She had thirteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren, several relatives and many dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her sister, brother, father, mother, sister, husband and a great grandchild.

Graveside memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Activity/Support Fund at Shady Oaks Nursing Home in Thayer, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
