Everett Boyd Smith, 81, of Salem, Arkansas, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Salem, Arkansas. Everett was born October 29, 1943, in Turlock, California to Luther Dempsey and Bethel Elizabeth (Tidwell) Smith.

Everett was united in marriage to Garmalita (Carmen) Silvas on December 15, 1962, in Dallas, Texas. Everett spent his working years as a contractor working with ceramic tiles and farming. Everett was a member of the St Cecilia Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.

Everett leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Carmen Smith of Salem, Arkansas; son, Tommy Smith (Faith) of Salem, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Sean Reagan, Braxton Smith, Jessica Lynn, Trina Mendoza, Tiffany Rodriguez, and Tammy; ten great grandchildren, Kylie, Aubrey, Joseph, Jaydon, Layla, Ashlyn, Jesiah, Alexi, Danny, and Jeremiah; two sisters, Sharon Faye Allen of Sonora, California and Darlene Hudson of Sonora, California; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his son (Danny Boyd Smith), daughter (Shelia Rosela Smith), parents, four brothers (Vernon, Jim, Bruce, and Ray), four sisters (Merda, Carol, Dorothy, and Mildred) and infant sibling Smith.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Union Cemetery in Union, Arkansas with Bro. Tyler Fox officiating. Pallbearers are Tommy Smith, Raymond Rivera, Braxton Smith, Nick Mendoza, Sean Reagan, and Henry Rodriquez. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
